Tara Vista Updates

Update, August 8, 2023: The Tara Vista Subdivision was briefly discussed during the meeting of the Board of County Commissioners. A Green Leaf resident expressed concern about construction traffic hours and routing through Green Leaf. Later in the meeting, Interim Growth Management Director Jeffrey Hays noted that noise ordinances allow traffic between the hours of 7 AM and 9 PM and that construction traffic “will be diverted among multiple different roadways.” Video of the meeting is available here.

Update, July 6, 2023: The Development Review Committee approved the final plan and plat for the Tara Vista Subdivision at its meeting. The plan will go to the county commission for approval at a meeting on August 8. Highlights of the presentation:

  • There will be a 15-foot buffer and a 6-foot fence separating the development from homes on SW 46th Avenue. These will be added during phase two of construction.
  • SW 69th Terrace will be extended to the south during the second phase, and this new section will have an additional speed table.
  • Construction traffic is likely to travel along SW 69th Terrace.
